While human form hasn’t changed, the dramatic improvement in convenience of peripheral devices is remarkable.
Makita’s digital catalog is a bit hard to read (complaining)
I thought about whether any of my 100V tools could be converted.
It’s Makita again this time. Autumn Makita Festival is underway~
I thought about tools to use with 100V.
- Disc Grinder
- Drill
- Heat Gun
- Soldering Iron
- Chamfer Cutter (Stationary)
- Micro Rotary Tool (Stationary)
- Electropolishing (Stationary)
- Port Puncher (Stationary)
As for stationary tools, there’s pretty much none.
Grinder and drill are definitely going cordless, so what’s left is… the soldering iron, I guess.
Since the heat gun recently became cordless, the burden has been reduced quite a bit.
For people who do a lot of outdoor work, electrifying air tools
Our shop has air supply, so there’s no need to convert right now…
However, if air tools were also electrified, it seems like cleaner work would be possible.
Impact Driver Just without the hose, work becomes much cleaner and easier.
As for others… I can’t really imagine.
An air gun without an air hose isn’t really an air gun
Air Saw would probably get much bigger
Belt Sander and Dual Action would be the same.
Right Tool for the Right Job: Bigger is Better
Even with the battery on, it’s important that the weight is similar .
There’s no end to thinking about it, and looking at Makita catalogs too much just expands dreams without practical value, so I’ll keep it moderate
Minimal and Essential
Without this opportunity, I wouldn’t have thought about electrification and going cordless.
When I actually wrote it all out, I realized I don’t have that many tools.
In an environment with air supply, electric power tools are surprisingly few, and the air-powered tools might have a higher usage ratio.

I’d like to see the impact driver lineup…
But I just switched to Hazet for air impact recently…
Use what you can, and if you don’t use something, sell it and dispose of it—your surroundings will be cleaner too (*’ω’*)
