Katana (22) Titanium Slip-On B-77 Cyclone
A little while back I had it in stock!? For testing!? and acquired it.
It’s reassuring to have one in these times.
It’s got a pretty straight structure…
This is definitely going to be loud!? No question about it, but I felt like it might actually be usable.
*If you use it as-is it flows too much!? Be careful (*’ω’*)
The inlet diameter is not 60.5, so please note!?
They won’t let you adapt it that easily…
When it comes to Yoshimura class, their attention to detail is ironclad.
Walls high!?
Short and thick… that’s the kind of feel it has.
The shape makes it a bit tricky to balance during installation.
Thinking it over a bit, imagining which parts are cool!? is one of the fun parts too, I think.
Isn’t that kind of time the most fun?
The tone is gentle. The volume is on the loud side.
My honest impression is surprising!?
I imagined that straight-four straight-pipe “gero-gero” sound, but that’s not what it is.
It’s the kind of sound you get when you swap the muffler on a modern fuel-injected bike and it gets thicker—surprisingly good!?
Unlike the awkward, overly muffled sound of the JMCA hand-bent titanium banana on the GSX1100S or GS1200S, this is clearly a better impression.
*I’m not dissing it—there were probably various design and historical reasons for that.
The design is like the JMCA hand-bent titanium banana
and the tone is like the Katana (22) Titanium Slip-On B-77 Cyclone, I’d say.
I also own an original hand-rolled steel banana pipe from back then…
but it’s so loud you can’t actually ride it.
Katana (22) Titanium Slip-On B-77 Cycloneis refined in both design and tone, so it might be good for adaptation too, don’t you think!?
