No matter how many times I try, things often don’t go smoothly. *Parts Most of the time it’s better to just choose the same parts without overthinking it? But that’s not fun… Living in the midst of this internal conflict (;∀;)
Work Objective: To the chassis that has regained its light throttle response, we now add the ultimate road-holding grip and seamless traction. This is a complete tuning to achieve “ultimate handling” 100% on the street.
Mechanic’s Note: No matter how high-grip tires you fit, if the chain and bearings that drive them are loose, it’s a waste of potential. By connecting everything with a “line,” you unlock otherworldly cornering response!

Clearly“I’m gonna grip!”That’s the look on its face. It’s cool. Tire prices keep climbing and I get nervous making invoices. Back in the day, the price of both front and rear = today’s single rear tireThat’s about how it feels.
It seemed like a quick swap, but… Due to air valve issues, I had to mount and unmount the tires several times.
It’s nice that the world doesn’t make things too easy
The tire pressure monitor sensor needs extra stem length to accommodate the lock nut. I didn’t realize there wasn’t much clearance until after installation.
In the end, I went back to a new OEM Marchesini valve.
Isn’t Marchesini TYPE-A the standard?
Everyone. Don’t assume consumable parts will always be readily available. The Marchesini TYPE-A sprocket, once a standard size, is now… I thought SUNSTAR would have it anytime, anywhere, but checking their web catalog…
What?! No 45T!!!!!!!!
Let me double-check…“Actually, we still have some!”
I didn’t investigate further, but if they don’t have it,Zam, K-Factor, or ISA might work… If stock is unavailable, custom orders can take time.
The point is“Don’t take SUNSTAR’s next-day delivery for granted!” Brakes and sprockets—go SUNSTAR. Thanks!
There’s been an aluminum sprocket boom lately. I have a feeling aluminum sprockets will gradually fade away going forward.
It’s not really about the weight reduction“The cutout design just looks cool!” For hole enthusiasts and hole lords, aluminum is the way to go.
I basically only use D.I.D chains unless otherwise specified. The product consistency, initial stretch, and uneven stretch balance are excellent. Plus, the smooth, flexible, low-friction feel of a new chain is exceptional.
Cutout sprockets and gold chains look great together.
I cleaned all the reused parts thoroughly. Now it’ll stay beautiful and enjoyable for a long time (*´ω`*)
Water Pump Check
I can’t remember exactly when, but it looks like the cooling system was serviced before. That’s reassuring.
Late afternoon… took it for a quick test ride. This RACE TEC is fantastic. Even in city riding, it feels incredibly natural and smooth.
And that’s how we wrapped it up!
