Thanks to the expressway…
The miles rack up fast! ♪ Lately I’m grateful for it.
I’ve noticed that Sunday afternoons the expressway is surprisingly clear,
so I’ve started making it a habit to wrap up work quickly and head out on Sunday afternoons.
The more I ride it, the more I notice its shortcomings – this Inazuma 1200.

An awkward position (・´з`・)
The balance between the seat, pegs, and tank isn’t really to my liking.
It’s hard to grip the tank with your knees.
The handlebar could be a bit closer and lower for easier riding.
I shouldn’t compare it to the CB1100 (SC65), but Honda really is amazing! That’s what I think every time.
A good relationship between oil temperature and oil pressure.
Even when the outside temperature is over 30 degrees Celsius, highway cruising keeps it around 90 degrees.
The oil pressure sits at about 4–6 kg, which is reassuring.
But once I get off the highway, the oil temperature climbs rapidly.
When it approaches 100 degrees, the oil pressure drops to just over 1 kg at idle (the oil gets thin, so pressure drops).
What I notice every time is high oil temperature and low oil pressure – the more extreme these conditions become, the harsher the environment for the engine, don’t you think?
Maintaining stable oil pressure might actually be the secret to keeping it running well.
Stubbornly ♪ keeping the stock muffler (*’▽’)
It’s quiet, and surprisingly “Doo-doo♪” the deep bass is pleasant.
Maybe it’s opened up a bit?
It has good low-end torque, and city riding is peaceful.
I’m getting old… I think to myself, and I’ve come to appreciate stock… that’s the age I’m at.
Looking closely, the color is kind of odd?
It’s a half-hearted color, but lately I don’t really hate it.
Subtly it’s a color scheme that could exist on an import bike , you know?
What’s good about the Inazuma 1200…
Nobody looks at it, and nobody calls out to me (*’▽’)
That’s the best! ♪ It’s a completely unremarkable, low-key bike.
Lately work has been getting intense, and it looks like I’ll be stuck in a situation where I can’t do much (´ρ`)…
