Discontinued intake manifold replacement and tuning/rear maintenance requested.
The intake manifolds from this era are secured with Phillips head bolts, so they strip very easily.
With proper tools and equipment in place, the likelihood of that happening drops considerably.
After replacing them countless times, the result is: use a 1/2-inch socket and press firmly while removing.
This is the strongest method so far. Every single one comes out on the first try (^_-)-☆
Smooth progress means no wasted labor charges.
Maybe taking longer is more profitable? Could be…
When rubber parts stop coming out, it really gets tough…
But once you replace them once, they’re pretty solid!

A light oil stone treatment feels really nice.
We got a bolt, but steel with a flange is still better. We went with that.
The air vent hose was rubbing against the muffler and getting worn.
We’ll trim it a bit.
