Bandit 1200 D-UNIT+ installation, EDR-21Gα drive recorder installation, handlebar post replacement, brake hose fabrication, and more

We’re always pretty swamped here (‘ω’)ノ
When you start with what looks simple, all sorts of things end up unfinished…

Well, what doesn’t get done doesn’t get done, so please bear with us.

First, the clutch hose was seeping, so we replaced it.

For a comfy ride with a higher handlebar, we installed a post-to-post adapter.
Remember when handlebar posts on Viragos were all the rage back in the day?

The nice thing about Goodridge hoses is that you can reuse the fittings and remake them.
It’s super convenient (‘ω’)ノ
*We do replace the hose and olive, though.

When installing brake hoses, it’s critical that they never twist and fit perfectly.
Even off-the-shelf products can twist quite a bit.
For that reason, when replacing them, we fabricate everything from scratch.
Then we bleed the air and we’re done (^_-)-☆

We’re installing the legendary Daytona D-UNIT+.
First, we’re converting everything to connectors.

And that’s how we got it installed (‘ω’)ノ
If you do the D-UNIT+ installation properly, it’s super tedious…
Of course, we haven’t connected it to the battery yet.

Don’t use the D-UNIT+ fuse. We recommend replacing it with a Koito or Stanley. They usually break off just pulling them out

After thinking it over, this was the only place that would work, so we fabricated a bracket.

It’s a bit noticeable, but this was the only place we could mount it securely…
I wish I had the strong heart to just stick it on both sides and call it done…

That’s all for today (^_-)-☆
