Nitron rear shock setup and fitting is complete, and we’re almost done.
I thought we should wait until everything is ready, but with the motto “don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today!” we’re steadily making progress.
It’s pretty oily—looks like it might be the starter motor or the lower part of the Y-line.
I’ll check it out.
If you buy an oil-cooled bike, you might want to check the alternator connector first.
It sometimes melts, so be careful.
We’re replacing the generator damper.

Nowadays it’s bulging out over a wider area.
If you’re worried about rust in certain spots, spreading thread compound thinly and evenly helps prevent it.
We replaced the damper with a later-model one.
Cleaning the case side before assembly makes things go smoothly.
