
Want to ride but can’t ride—
In these times of pandemic and ongoing emergency declarations, how is everyone doing?
The mileage isn’t going up, but let’s keep up with maintenance steadily!



The brake disc thickness was fine.
The rear ventilated disc—what happens if the OEM part gets discontinued?
Will we have to adapt something with a similar PCD and center bore?
Year after year, there’s more to do and more to think about.
Just ordering parts and swapping them out won’t cut it going forward—that’s what I’m thinking.

The sidestand feels great when it operates smoothly too.
The fork inner tubes shouldn’t rust, and if you oil and clean the seals to reduce friction, that’s ideal.



This Sumitomo caliper doesn’t have the best reputation, but this unit is in excellent condition.



Clean the brake disc holes and degrease the disc.



We replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT4.


You want to change the coolant every couple of years.
We replaced the engine oil with Newtech NC50.



We brushed the maintenance key and applied light rust preventative, then wiped it down. We also applied rust preventative to the fuel cap and wiped it.
We checked all the fuses. Charging voltage, battery charging, and everything else are complete. The tires are new, so you’ll enjoy smooth riding.
