Steel frame, lightweight, compact, oil-cooled = GSF1200. Additional request: Sunstar Premium Racing brake disc replacement & pad replacement

This is an incredibly rare last-one inner gray.

It’s got that refined cool look, doesn’t it? This color…
Safety first with solid braking power! Fun starts with safety.

We’ll replace the rear the same way.

I wish I’d stocked up more… you know how it is, once it’s gone you realize you needed it.
It gives a different impression than neoclassic. I really like the slightly rugged S-type inner. This is the Sunstar LS203W (T=5MM).

Once installed, it looks sharp like this. Really sleek!

The rear disc is LR023 240φ.

Now let’s move on to the detailed work breakdown.

I polished the caliper support.
It really comes back to life right away. When restoration elements get added into the work flow, the finish looks better and it feels good to assemble.

Both sides get a VERY GOOD?

I checked the axle shaft runout. No issues.

It’s just a quick wipe, but I always think about it. Once you do it, the next time feels so much better, doesn’t it?

The care you put in for the next person actually comes back to you.

I dug in and cleaned it up. Screws going in smoothly without any resistance really boosts your confidence.

The speedometer gear chase grease… still a mystery to me.
Let’s also lubricate the speed cable while we’re at it.

I forgot to shoot the rear after painting…
We applied gun coat to all paintable areas, front and rear.

The brake pads are RK-MAX with excellent balance across the board.
We mark them on the outside or inside.

All done!
