March is already winding down, isn’t it? By now, tax processing should be finalized and your annual tax payment schedule should be set, right??? Hehe (*´ω`*)
By the way, this is just a prediction, so sorry if prices don’t go up.
Now then If it’s the same product, the more affordable option is better right? Both bikes and parts “Oh man, if only I’d bought it back then” —we’ve all been through that experience countless times. Today, I’ve already placed orders for most of the work supplies—oils and materials. It’s fine if we can get things even at a slightly higher price, but complete stock-outs are painful.
“The only places where I can always get what I want whenever I want are Amazon and Yodobashi” If you’ve already decided to replace something, it’s a good idea to order it right away and keep it in stock.
Today’s Announcement (Parts Purchase Advice)
Target: Those considering customization or overhaul (especially oil-cooled 1200 owners)
Details: Every April, when the new fiscal year begins, “price revisions (price increases)” from various parts manufacturers tend to concentrate during this period.
Recommended last-minute parts: FCC Traction Control Clutch Kit and more.
Conclusion: If you have any high-end parts you’ve been hesitating about installing, I absolutely recommend purchasing (or ordering) them in March! The difference can be thousands to tens of thousands of yen.

There used to be various types, but now it’s already “214-S0202-05” down to just one type. A complete coil spring conversion kit set. Springs, bolts, friction discs, plates, pressure plate, inner sleeve With this set at 66,495 yen it’s a very reasonable price.
Buy it now and you’ll have peace of mind. Replace it now and you’ll be absolutely safe forever.
The oil-cooled 1200 has been around for 30 years now, counting from the GSF1200. Low mileage doesn’t mean the clutch is fine. The friction material that’s been inside the engine since the factory assembly doesn’t so much wear down as it deteriorates.
I’ve never seen friction material peeling off in a 1200 engine, but “uncharted territory we haven’t yet experienced” is where these bikes are now entering. Areas that were fine before, that we thought were problem-free from experience, are gradually aging.
A while back there was a scare about GSX-R clutches being discontinued, but Advantage finally re-released them for us. This will definitely be the last time, so going forward, if you’ve decided to replace yours, stock it yourself or have your regular shop order it for you —that’s the sure way.
If you assume you can always buy it whenever you want, you’ll suddenly find yourself in trouble. You really have to treat these bikes like classics now.
Price Hike Warning! Why You Should Buy Your FCC Clutch in March.
Announcement: April is the start of the new fiscal year in Japan, which historically brings price increases from many motorcycle part manufacturers. Recommendation: If you are planning to upgrade your bike with premium parts—especially the FCC Traction Control Clutch Kit for Suzuki oil-cooled 1200 engines that I highly praised recently—I strongly recommend buying or ordering them now in March. Verdict: Don’t wait until April and pay more for the exact same parts. Secure your upgrades now and save your money for spring touring!
