Inazuma 1200 Oil-cooled Katana OEM Carburettor Maintenance + (OH) & Polishing Master Cylinder OH and More

The current carburettor has about 100,000 kilometers on it, so we’re overhauling the spare carburettor and swapping it in.

We’re taking it apart aggressively with an impact drill. Disassembling the carburettor is extremely effective.
Rather than spinning it hard, we loosen it with a “click-click-click” and then “whirrr.”

We’re keeping reference photos so we don’t get confused when reassembling. Super handy!

This joint isn’t available… We had ordered it, thinking “the ASSY should come with an O-ring.” But since the ASSY isn’t available either, we realize mid-work that we haven’t ordered the O-ring…

For now we’re doing the prep work and putting the carburettor on hold.

The ETC gate hasn’t been opening lately, so we’re thinking maybe we should extend it a bit more outside.

We simplified it to something like this.

If this doesn’t work, the antenna is done for.

Of course, we’ve also made sure you can access the handlebars.

We’re overhauling the clutch master cylinder.

Clean it up, reassemble, and we’re done.

The cup wasn’t in too bad shape.

Brembo semi-radial master cylinder.

Since there’s no way to remove this and no replacement parts available, we’re skipping the polishing.

It felt a bit spongy.

Thoughtful design to keep the spring from breaking.

Waiting on parts~
