The tank looks a bit rusty, but at this level we’re in the clear.


When removing the butterfly, you need to grind away the staking. If you don’t, the shaft is done for.


Let’s also check the butterfly by holding it up to the light. CVK and stuff were pretty sloppy, weren’t they?


This is a seal… BST uses something like felt. If we can reuse it, we should. Let’s measure it.


Old vacuum design means lots of parts. Float gaskets made of paper—that takes me back.


After polishing, it comes back to life like this.

Really satisfying—we’re holding off until parts are ready.
