By coincidence, it’s a convenient size to wrap in newspaper.

We wanted to adjust the fuel level, but since we hadn’t made a large-body-specific tool, we’re making one this time.

P1640659

The BST-MJN is rare. This is a fuel level attachment, and we’ve polished every part until it shines. We want to keep the tools we use clean and well-maintained.

P1640661

Many models don’t have the actual fuel level value documented. We derive it from the float level and actual fuel level. We’ve found differences of up to 5mm.

I think having the fuel level correct rather than incorrect reduces uncertainty.

P1640662

Let’s put in a new air filter too.

DSC_2721

A clean carburetor really makes a difference. It’s genuinely satisfying.

Sorry to those who had the OH done before our new equipment arrived, but the later approach is always better.

P1640664

We start it up gently and adjust the synchronization.

P1640653

The damper is broken, so we’re replacing both sides.

P1640654

We’ve also drilled holes in the pad pins.

P1640656

While we’re at it, we’ll replace the main ground. It’s probably effective?

P1640658

The generator connector had some corrosion, so we cleaned it up.

P1640663

Out of order, but we changed the oil before the inspection.

P1640666

We have a bad feeling about it, so we’re replacing the fuel cock O-ring too.

P1640665

We fabricated a simple bracket

and installed the tank, bled the air from front and rear, and we’re almost done.

We expect to get the inspection completed and finish by next week.
