D.I.D ZVM-X & Sunstar service kit + wheel bearing maintenance + main harness replacement (using OEM parts), master tank replacement, rear caliper master OH, and more on request.

We’re replacing the wheel bearings starting from the front.

When we peel back the seal, there’s surprisingly little grease in there.

This is the only time we can really clean it, so we’ll work it over thoroughly.

How did a spider web even get in there?

Let’s note down the dimensions too.

While we’re at it, we’ll clean and oil the speedometer cable. It’s got quite a bit of rust on it.

We’ve polished and painted it. Everything looks nicer when it’s cleaner.

Moving to the rear—the distance collar is pretty corroded.

We’ve polished it, so it’ll keep working for a while longer.

The rear was still in good shape with plenty of oil and clean. Since Grip started carrying Marchesini, it’s easier to source small parts.

The damper is new too! The play has reduced dramatically and it’s back to normal. We’ll remove the shim.

It was dirty, so we polished and painted it. It really comes back to life.

The axle should be fine.

We clean whenever we can.

Preparing to welcome the new chain starts with cleaning the slider.

Just to be safe, let’s check the width after pressing it in.

If you can’t spread the pin easily, just rock it back and forth while it’s pressed in and the center will come out on its own—then you can crimp it. Once it’s spread, it basically won’t come out, so be careful not to overdo it.
