For now, I’d like to progress as far as I can.
Since we’re removing the wheels, let’s clean the chain slider and the area under the case while we’re at it.
I cleaned this area up nicely too. The image is from before the work. I forgot to take after photos.
By the way, this chain puller cost just a few hundred yen. I’d like to replace it and get it nice and tight.
The rear shaft has a slight wobble, but it’s within acceptable limits so we’ll keep going.
The corrosion is pretty bad and frustrating. The piston was only mildly affected, which is good. Operation is fine too.
Let’s poke around and give it a good cleaning now and then.
When applying chain oil, I wipe it off. That way it gets deep into all the nooks.
