If you leave it sitting, it gets bad fast. This one’s pretty rough.
All the jets are shot, and the needle valve is completely gone too.
The needle won’t come out. A little heat and it comes right off—it’s just oil, after all.
The pilot jet won’t budge.
So I spray it with water and then carefully heat just the jet with a small torch.
Well, it came right off. Safe.
Everything’s filthy. You don’t want these clogging up.
Wow, it comes clean in a flash. The finish really just depends on your tools.
I don’t have those parts on hand yet, so I’m putting this on hold.
The red GSF’s carb looks sketchy too. More tomorrow.
