
The customer wanted a place to mount the ETC unit while also being able to remove the battery smartly. Without any modifications, it’s a tough call.

I cut out SUS304 stainless steel with precision.

Bent it, drilled holes, and it’s looking pretty light.

I cut out another plate and bent it.

Crooked welds show a crooked personality. I welded them together. Next.

Even sloppy welds look decent once you remove the heat discoloration.

I designed it with a money-clip-style structure.

The battery band holds it in place.

The first step fits into the battery groove. Insert the second step into the case groove.

I added another tab lock so it doesn’t move around.

After that, I glue the unit to this bracket and we’re done.

I cut out the second-step bent piece.

The cup isn’t parallel to the mirror’s seating surface.
I rejected welding a handlebar stopper because it would strip the frame’s paint. That completes it.

The customer said it had to be parallel to the cap, so I remade it and pushed the design further.
