We had it sourced through an online auction. The first one was a no-go because even though it was a 3GM, an inverted version existed.
The second one finally had the 43mm diameter. The FZR1000 handlebar damper, washers, and rings are all missing from parts catalogs. The used one came with everything except the ring, so that worked out well.
It feels a bit thin, but as long as the washer and damper don’t fall down, the structure is fine.
I recall that the VFR750R RC30 fork had a similar part, so I tried sourcing it.
No issues. Really helped us out.
I’m not sure if it’s been modified or what, but we were able to handle the custom work with just a sleeve. Now I can finally ride with both eyes open.
Let’s take care of the oil change we forgot during the recent inspection. We’ll swap the filter too.
We polished it so it’ll feel smooth going forward. All done.
