I also replaced the caliper bolts with steel ones.
The back dimension is tight, so I shortened the bolt shank by 2mm.

With this type of bike bolt replacement, you need to look carefully and work cautiously.

Remove the KERKER baffle. And replace it.

Pull! Pull! That’s all you can do! It hasn’t been removed in years, so we struggled hard.

I’ll create a relief and tap it in.

But… it’s not easy… or maybe too easy? Reality is here.
It keeps shifting a bit no matter what.

And since I tapped it in, it won’t come out… What do I do?
Tap tap tap… thinking like Ikkyū-san, then pop!

Making a stepped base with this strategy worked perfectly!
Now I can attach and detach it a million times without any damage.

After all, “a little brainpower and the right tools” humanity is great… hehe
