The inspection has already been completed, so we’ll proceed with the requested work: generator replacement and oil change.

Left: GSX-R1100, Right: 1200-series late model
With the 1200-series, it becomes MF-compatible. We haven’t checked every detail, but since the original parts have no issues, we’re good to go. There are various internal changes, like the regulator being modified and such.

Note that the generator gear tooth count differs, so please be careful.

We just replaced it during the oil-cooled maintenance the other day, so we’ll reuse it.

We’ll fabricate an extension harness and install it in the same configuration.

We confirmed the readings with a digital tester—no issues.

The shift feel wasn’t quite right, so we’re doing an oil change.
This time we selected elf MOTO4RACE 10W-60.
Our shop tends to use NUTEC, but this oil really makes a great impression.
Regarding shift feel, you might also want to check the ratchet on the shift shaft extension. We’ve had cases in the past where wear caused the engagement timing to shift, resulting in stiff shifting.
Let’s change the oil first and see how it goes.

We didn’t find any foreign matter.

Replace the drain bolt occasionally. It’s a genuine part with a 17 mm hex head.

Fill the filter with oil before installing it.

While we had the tail cowl off, we also polished the grab bar color.
