The constant problem is rubber parts.
Unlike metal parts, we can’t just make rubber parts (and we can’t).
You might think it’s nice to be able to worry about such a price.
The moment they become unavailable, you start to panic—doesn’t it feel like disaster preparedness?
The GSX-R750J intake manifold appears to be discontinued.
It would be nice if we could use one from a GSF1200 or GSXR1100K, but let me look into it a bit.
First, let’s replace the generator damper. It was still in fresh condition.
Let’s polish up the underside we removed at times like this.
It was in a condition that showed its history. With these kinds of bolts and nuts, oil-cooled bikes in general—I’ve never experienced them coming loose or stripping, so we’re good.
I’m the type who applies grease to the damper.
I think it helps prevent the case side from wearing away rough.
Usually it gets all rough. *The crankcase is in a sense a wear item.
Let’s proceed with valve adjustment. The inside of the head is quite clean. Looking good.

The cam had no scoring and was in excellent condition.
The spark plugs were clean too. But they’re burning pretty hot!
It was a bit tight. We’ll replace them at delivery time too.
We replaced the rear hub damper.

When you’re working and remove bolts and nuts into a tray, don’t they make a clattering sound?
Sorting them is a hassle too. “Wait, I have extras?” That’s frustrating, right?
If we use a Ring Star SP-3200D as a tray, we can store the removed parts in order, and even if work is interrupted, we can just cover it and store it as is.
