I really like the shift pedal from the GSXR1100K-N. A customer recently gave me one, so let’s modify it.
It’s not bent, but it looks rough. There’s a lot of corrosion, so I’m polishing it and giving it a refresh.
Got it pretty clean. The bend on the inside is a pain, so I’ll cut it out.
I’ll make an arm to straighten it using 52 material and give it an R-curve treatment for a smooth finish.
You can enjoy three different arm lengths. This work might actually be fun even on a stock setup.
When I was aligning the gaps, I noticed the vertical alignment had shifted, but since it’s my own bike, I’ll proceed.
Welded it together with some sparks flying.
Polished it up and it looks great. I didn’t have any spherical rod ends in stock, so I couldn’t install them yet.
