Let’s make a phone mount bracket. I think lightweight and simple is always the way to go.
Since I wasn’t sure exactly how it would be used, I made it in a straightforward way so it wouldn’t be a hassle.
I added ribs on the back.
The outer perimeter is welded.
If I weld the lock nut too, you can do the work with just one tool.
You can orient it vertically
or horizontally. If vibration becomes severe, we might need to increase the wall thickness, but for now…
