The cap’s O-ring is stuck and won’t come out. We’ll use a slide hammer, but we have to be careful not to overdo it.

After a struggle, extraction is complete. The power of corrosion is truly formidable.
Just under three weeks later, the tank came back from the cleaning service. It’s sparkling now, so we can feel confident.
For now, let’s apply gasoline-resistant liquid gasket and aluminum tape and see how it goes.
