Wiring gets handled roughly more often than you’d think, so we want to crimp and secure everything properly.
We use a Daytona headlight relay. If you think about installation, this is the one to choose.
The key is that the relay isn’t on the headlight side, so the installation layout is extremely clean. You often see messy cable ties on the upper cowl or light side. The owner probably notices it too. It’s a shame to the bike when you just buy something and install it haphazardly without thinking it through.
Make mounts for relays and other components and secure them properly. You see cable ties used on electrical systems far too often.
I basically don’t fix things that other people have installed. If you think about removing it before installing it, it shouldn’t be easy.

The main harness is definitely a part you should buy while new ones are still available. At less than 20,000 yen for parts, it should be rock solid for as long as you own the bike. Once problems show up, it’s already too late.
