Mounting the unit directly with double-sided tape is honestly questionable. When you remove it, the adhesive stays on the bike body. If it’s a bike you care about, you want a solid installation. We fabricated a bracket for it.
When installed, it looks like this. It becomes floating-style and has a subtle, stock appearance.
We basically don’t use the included bracket-related parts. We’ve also secured the nuts with serviceability in mind.
We mark the coils as well.
Let’s mark the plug wires too. We don’t use the plastic clip-style because there’s a risk it could fall off somewhere it shouldn’t.
Even if a bit longer, a gentle radius layout that won’t get in the way even when removed quickly is best.
Too short is definitely annoying.
Change the oil and we’re done.
