Interestingly, there are no wires in the visible area. I routed everything to the rear, and while I could have chosen to use or not use a relay, I decided against using the included relay since it was bulky, so I used a small relay from stock
and cleaned up the wiring.
This is the finished state. You can really see how clean it turned out.

The relay is secured with push rivets. I try to avoid using cable ties or double-sided tape as much as possible and keep them as a last resort.
In exchange, the space in the rear ended up completely full.
I also set up a new power supply for the ETC.
Using a relay would make it even simpler. I think the reason off-the-shelf products use such complicated and excessive wiring is because they can be installed without modification.
That said, I was working on it for almost the whole day… ha ha
