Let’s adjust the side stand clearance.
Loose play moves smoothly, but the stand and frame wear down. Too tight makes it stiff. The balance is tricky.
Changing the spring rate would be really interesting, but considering the risks, it’s hard to justify trying it.
I think minimal play with a good, deliberate resistance is the way to go.
I gave it a light rust preventative coat. Even a little bit makes a big difference in feel.
The oil content was good and everything looked healthy.

The throttle had too much oil on it. Lubrication should be minimal—especially on control cables—and any excess should be wiped away. Extra grease only serves as rust prevention, really.
