Mondays and Tuesdays are our days off!
We had a delivery today so I headed out. I’m taking Tuesday and Wednesday off as a make-up day (´ー`)
So this past week we’ve reduced the number of bikes quite a bit… I really want to reduce them even more (work)
Things don’t always go smoothly, do they~
In between jobs Inazuma 1200 CVK36φ Project Confirmed!
All of a sudden… let’s stop this ( ;∀;)

Keihin CVK carbs aren’t something you get to see up close very often…
This customer-supplied carb is a ZRX1100 model with TPS.
With the ZRX1200 it won’t go full throttle – there are some annoying functional differences.
The ZRX1100 from the era with looser regulations is recommended! So that’s what we went with for the purchase…
When we tried fitting the GSF1200 intake manifold
it was loose and there was a gap at the back = the GSF intake manifold won’t work
Oh no~ The spigot outer diameter is the same but the rib position and shape are different…

Dig it out with a round tool?
Make an adapter using the ZRX1100 intake manifold?
I don’t think it makes sense cost-wise… I have a feeling this is a confirmed loss.
I’m starting to think it would’ve been faster to just go with the GSF1200 BST36 from the beginning.
Please consider it.
Let’s check the inner tube

There was no runout!
But! However!

When you polish the inner tube with a cross-hatch pattern it resists leaking better, so I’ll chuck it in the lathe and hone it.
The feel seems off??
Hmm… looking closely… looking closely…

There were vertical scratches that wouldn’t come out.
Was it used without slide metal? A benefit?
It needs re-plating… No matter what we do, this old bike just won’t cooperate smoothly.
That’s how it’s been today too (*´ω`*)
