It’s an Inazuma 1200 Katana. I’ve been seeing a lot of these lately.
The sprocket teeth have worn down quite a bit. There’s some contact on the outside of the sprocket.
The R5/R10 area has a lot of play even when new, so adding shims to increase thickness and reduce damper play helps smooth out the jerking when you turn the throttle on and off.
Since we have to work right in front of you, we over-protect everything to give you peace of mind.
Making the plate press-fit width similar to the others just feels better somehow.
The D.I.D chain rolls smoothly the moment you install it. As you ride and heat builds up, it feels even lighter. The stretch is stable too, with minimal uneven wear.
For all these reasons, I’m confident recommending this chain.
Of course, we replaced the front sprocket too.
