The inspection is complete, so let’s tackle some detailed work.
The owner removed the seat this morning. We’re converting this lever-type seat release to a key-type one, and since the owner wants to keep the current seat, we’re modifying the frame side so it can be restored to its original state.
The first one I drilled was a mistake—I used M8 by accident, so it’s scrap. This one here is Vr2. I was a bit concerned about the strength, so I sized it so we could reinforce it with welding later if needed, but it doesn’t look like that’ll be necessary.

For the seat side, I’m still deciding whether to keep it simple or do something more involved before I weld it up.
