We proceeded with the mindset that it was okay if it broke.
It came off safely, though I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed. Let’s adjust the valve clearance.
Did it get quite heat-soaked? Even removing the head cover was a struggle…
The gasket stuck so firmly that peeling it off was tough… This is rare to see.
Apparently some people drop this once in a while. With DIY work, you’re responsible for any failures, so be careful.
The cam shows no scoring and is in good condition. Is this the first time? The maximum was around 0.3 mm on the exhaust side, and the minimum was 0.05 mm on the intake side.
The engine oil appears to be changed regularly.
Adjustment is complete and on hold for now.
