We need to arrange parts while confirming the actual condition.

A mysterious right caliper with a shim or washer that came loose. Is this right one optional? I apologize for not being more knowledgeable about it.
There were signs of machining or some kind of processing.

the upper side were being adjusted for this difference using shims of varying thickness. The heavy rolling feel might be influenced by this as well.
The back side may not be perfectly flat, but I’ll check it when disassembling the caliper, and if there’s an issue, I’ll surface it with a milling machine.

This is common on older bikes. Should we accept it if it’s secure? I’ll think through the labor, new parts, and various other factors before proceeding.

The counter shaft is in good condition and appears to have no issues, which is reassuring.
