Let’s convert the 630 to a 530 on an outer diameter basis.

Lately Sunstar has been marking everything with the math laid out, which makes it really easy to understand. Fantastic.

If the final ratio isn’t close to the current setup or a bit more fun—something you can play with a little—it gets tough, so I’m torn about it.
What if they ask for a longer ratio? What if they ask for a shorter one? I end up worrying about it on my own for tens of minutes.

It’s changed from bushings to needle roller and thrust bearings.
Sometimes it’s hard to confirm bearing part numbers—is it a 0? A 5? A 6? I’m fine now since I’m not dealing with presbyopia yet, but when it starts, it’ll be a double whammy.

When you can remove it with a puller, the work progresses smoothly and it’s a real help.
A sliding hammer is one of those tools I try to avoid using whenever possible. That confirms everything.

There’s no 14-10 dummy rear suspension, so let’s make one while we’re at it.
Having a dummy is a really efficient tool when doing rear suspension OH or when disassembling the rear.
I’ll do the bottom machining with a pipe notcher-style milling machine.

This time I went with adjustment M6. The degreasing wasn’t thorough enough and the prep work was sloppy—I recognize that as a tool issue—so the finish is disappointing and I regret it.
Well, it works, so…
I’ll move forward once all the parts are in.
