Today, May 30th (Saturday), the weather was absolutely gorgeous with humidity at a comfortable level.
It’s really true that we don’t see many Yamaha and Honda bikes at our shop. For Yamaha specifically, we’re lucky to get 10 bikes a year.
The XJR1300 came in for a trade-in, so we’re doing an oil service and checking the TMR which isn’t running quite right.

Work: Engine oil change.
Oil Used: Shell ADVANCE 4T ULTRA

It seems like this bike is run wide open pretty regularly. We also replaced the plugs with the same DPR8EA-9 this time.
We cleaned the TMR and replaced the O-rings.
We gave it a light cleaning and replaced the PS/NV O-rings.
We also checked the carburetor synchronization. We replaced the fuel hose with a new one too! The XJR has different diameter hoses, you know.
Engine Oil: Shell Advance 4T Ultra
Carbs with forced open/close get dirty fast, don’t they? We made sure to replace it thoroughly before summer arrives.
We replaced the fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT4. Since I’ve been riding the 550 so much lately, a liter bike really feels incredibly fast.
It’s amazing how much speed you get without even opening the throttle much. And with that, we’re all done! (*´ω｀*)
