Akrapovic Z-Type Hexagonal Silencer Carbon
I really like the design of this silencer.
This is a CBR1100XX.
Akrapovic Z-Type Hexagonal Silencer Carbon: we’re extending the inlet diameter from 60Φ to 60.5Φ.
A staff member came in to cover, so I’m dashing over to Aiyama’s place on the Super X.
Inlet diameters vary widely in the market, and their tolerances can be surprisingly broad or tight.
Please understand that these are not high-precision 60.50000Φ specifications. They may be off by a fraction of a millimeter, and they’re certainly not perfectly round. Since it’s a matter of male-female fit, the tail pipe is always necessary during machining. If there’s no tail pipe, we machine it loose to avoid the risk of it not fitting.
The appeal is that even the silencer band is carbon.
