It was spurting out as if reluctant to let go.
For some reason, the tools I have on hand are genuine OHLINS brand—I like manufacturer stuff.
Things could get pretty messy, so I disassembled it minimally.
The OHLINS upside-down with the old-style protruding grooves is surprisingly rare and pretty racy.
I hardly ever work on OHLINS, but just for reference, let me do a quick check.
Alright, swap out the seal and we’re done—or so I thought?
The bottom side has a double metal seal… and it’s super deep.
After ten minutes of puzzling and ten minutes of test riding, I went to Togashi Engineering to ask my question.
Problem solved! They really know their stuff.
I’ll reassemble it tomorrow morning. On hold for now!
