Actually, I had been asked to do front maintenance (stem+) ★
My apologies.
Front maintenance (stem+)………¥29,400 Restores nimble handling.

Today the steering head locked up nicely ★

When everything goes all loose and droopy, it puts strain on the harnesses, hoses, and wires,
so it’s safer to be as gentle as possible.

I see! There’s quite a bit of oil residue.
But the feel when riding and when pushing didn’t seem very good, though…

It’s heavily corroded.

The corrosion has eaten it full of holes ★
When there’s plenty of grease, the oil makes corrosion less likely,
but water inevitably gets mixed in.
In the end it becomes a water-and-oil situation, and corrosion quietly progresses,
so we end up disassembling, cleaning, replacing the grease, and swapping out bearings.
Steering stem, swingarm/linkage area, and wheel bearings—
broadly speaking, just these three spots!
Surprisingly few, really.

We snap it in and do a visual check one-two

I think, “Aha!”

And it’s running beautifully and nimble now ★ Test ridden

We also adjusted the fork oil settings.

They asked me to do something about the ETC antenna ★
Well, it certainly is built pretty robustly, but it’s excessive and pointless rigidity.
I came up with a good idea, so I’ll make it tomorrow ~
