GSF1200 Carburettor Maintenance and Tank Rust Removal

 

 
The oil smells a bit like gasoline, so let’s get it changed ★
That’s sketchy.
 

 
Throttle cable gets replaced with a new one too
 

 
Spark plugs as well
 

 
Things are looking pretty out of whack.
 

 
With all this done, it’s running great, of course.
After a test ride
 

 
The clutch isn’t disengaging well, so we’ll swap the fluid
 

 
Let’s clean the chain too…
Spinning the wheel goes “clunk! clunk!” — the drive sprocket nut is loose.
While we’re at it, there’s quite a bit of oil leaking…
Tightened the nut and the noise is gone ★
 

 
That’s gotta be fluid…
The clutch cylinder is weeping.
We don’t have the cup seal in stock, so we’ll put this on hold.
