The Rumored SKF Oil Seal Story

Hearing quite favorable rumors about it

Pretty minimal packaging—the seals are right there in the box
The dust seal comes with a spring too
 

 
The oil seal side has springs on the outside as well—pretty standard these days, I’d say.
They happen to make a 40 mm version
My GS1000S has a Yoshimura KYB 40 mm fork
I had them measure the spare seal and check if SKF would be close
I think it should work out
I’d also like to switch the machined 41 mm fork from the other day to SKF
If this can reduce low friction and leaks even a little
everyone’s wallet will be happy
