Well, I’m late with the update.
The carburetor seems to have some O-ring tension loss, or maybe not…
I’m replacing the O-rings at three locations: the pilot screw, needle jet, and float valve.
Tension loss in the float valve O-ring is a pretty common cause of rising fuel level,
so it’s definitely something you want to replace.
The float valve is a modern rubber type and holds up well.
It showed no step wear and was in good condition, so I’m reusing it.
Depending on mileage and time, if something is still young enough to work, I try to reuse it as much as possible.

The Bandit doesn’t list the float valve O-ring as a separate part—no way!
The valve assembly is expensive, so I’m hunting for it. The dimensions are 10.5×7.5×1.5…
I happened to have "NV BS34 10.5×7.5×1.5" written on a sticky note on my computer…
I don’t remember working with BS34 recently though…
Probably…
I figured I might have mixed it up with BST36, so I took a shot and ordered a BST36 O-ring ★
Perfect fit! ★ I’ll use this again. Note to self:

This time I set the fuel level using the float position. Only number one needed adjustment, so I took care of that.

After removing the carbon, there’s no change in synchronization—looks good.
Running great ★
