So here we have a Bandit 1200 K5 that came in for the Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection.

We’ve already started on it, so here’s the rest of the maintenance.
We remove the wheels front and rear to check them.
The front doesn’t have an oil seal installed—the bearings are sealed directly—so we check their operation and
adjust them to see how they move.
We clean the axle and apply a thin, even coat of grease.
Sometimes grease gets caked on thick, but it just ends up squishing out anyway.
The rear has oil seals, so we clean the lip area and pack it with grease.
The grooves in the spacer show how much it’s spinning…
Even with the caliper off and the axle tightened properly, it just keeps spinning and spinning.
Feels great!
