Today flew by, but it was pretty uneventful overall…
Feeling a bit down.
Started the morning by showing the damaged vehicle to the insurance adjuster.
The GSX-R1100 parts arrived yesterday, so I replaced the bearings around the swingarm and linkage.
Assembled it while checking for play and movement.
After lunch, I was asked to handle the used new inspection and registration for a Sportster 1200, so I headed over to Yamasan’s place.
The inspection and registration took longer than expected—hmm…
Yaru-ze! Ichikawa is waiting at the shop—there’s a call, so I dashed back to the office.
He’s heading to Tsukuba the day after tomorrow, so I changed the oil on his K1200 and installed billet levers on both sides.
Tonkotsu Custom’s Nagae showed up, and I wondered what he wanted.
Turns out he’s a roofer, so he was drilling his own tools to lighten them.
He wasn’t using cutting oil and was just forcing it open with strength, so he wrecked our drill.
Buy me cream puffs! Four of them ☆
That wasn’t the main reason—he actually wanted an oil change, so I reluctantly did it.
Finally got back to the GSX-R1100…hoping to finish it today.
Just then, a customer came to pick up their inspected bike.
We chatted a bit, and then—’Oh no, the starter won’t turn over!’
I instantly figured it was the starter relay contacts—and I was right!
Finally back to the 1100—I removed the swingarm, so I needed to bleed the rear…
The screws on the reservoir tank cap were rusted, so I ended up drilling them out.
While changing the oil, I drilled a hole so we could run a wire through it.
Finally got it finished.
The oil-cooled Katana that’s supposed to go for inspection tomorrow still won’t start…
I was exhausted, so I headed home.
Hmm? Looks like I’m stuck again today…
And tomorrow too? I wonder…
