We had Wednesday, July 30th off.
Once in a while, I take a leisurely stroll through the city.
My final plan is to make it to the Toho Cinema in Roppongi for the 3:00 PM showing of “Happening.”

First, I head to Daikanyama ★
Daikanyama is walkable, but it’s hot.
I stopped by ateliers PENELOPE to casually check out their new pieces.
I checked their website and saw they had various new items, but I couldn’t tell which was which, so I moved on ★
Next, I head to Aoyama ■
I’d walk there in cooler weather, but in this heat I’d risk heat stroke, so I take the train.
The train is nice and cool.
I arrive… exhausted from the heat and hunger, I grab a sandwich and iced coffee at "DEAN&DELUCA" to cool down.
Cooling off.
The air conditioning in the store was working well—it was actually cold.
My target, “CIBONE", is in the basement.
There’s one in Jiyugaoka too, but this one is far superior in size ★
I had a list of a few things I wanted to check out.
Just towels, mitts, and slippers though…
Luckily, the towel I wanted was mysteriously marked down 50%!
The slippers were so-so!
The mitts weren’t on display, so I asked a staff member who went to the back and found them for me—I ended up buying them on impulse.
I wonder why mitts aren’t shaped like hands?
Now I head to Roppongi ▼
I check my watch—it’s only 2:15 PM, so I walk to Roppongi at a leisurely pace.
This area is surprisingly close—I arrived in 20 minutes on foot.
With summer vacation, I barely get the benefit of a weekday crowd.
There are quite a lot of people Ш
Now for my main event: “Happening.”
The movie had decent attendance, but the tall foreigner in front of me blocks the subtitles.
From the back, I can barely see his ears. Dude, you’re sticking out too much!
And he keeps moving his head left and right, making it hard to see…
Ugh ★ Overall, I’d rate the movie a 5 or 6 out of 10 personally.
There’s a lot of suicide, so it’s pretty intense.
It turned out to be a pretty worthwhile day off.
I spotted a Mayonnaise Z1R turning right from Roppongi-dori onto Komazawa-dori ★
A Z1R that gets ridden hard every day like that is pretty rare.
Nice.
