A well-tuned air-cooled four-cylinder feels great.
The Z1000R from the other day★—I really felt that the stock setup has great balance.
But what’s amazing is that the engine isn’t worn out.
Unstable idle, clutch chatter on takeoff, stalls if you don’t keep the throttle open—that sort of thing.
But the issues I notice really show up below 50% throttle opening, and up to that point it feels smooth and easy to ride!
Throttle play, downshift engagement, partial throttle in corners and the bite from there—
I could go on forever, and it’s all personal preference anyway.
