A lightweight caliper I introduced way back! It’s from an R1000.
Of course the man’s bike has one too, but this one has an iron piston ★
On the R1000 it’s aluminum.
The piston operates smoothly, and with just one pad pin it works great.
But I’d recommend drilling a hole in the pad pin to prevent it from falling out ★
With some parts, replacing them new with a higher-grade version performs better than doing an overhaul,
and it’s sometimes easier on the wallet too, so use your head and weigh your options!
