Yesterday the weather was nice, so I took the day off. Since I haven’t visited the grave yet, I bought some cleaning supplies
and headed to Yotokuji Temple. I purchased flowers and incense and went to the grave…
As expected, it was overgrown with weeds… Really overgrown, so I pulled everything out by the roots!
It looks much cleaner now, and next I washed the gravestone. I scrubbed it with a brush, and I got pretty into it
and spent quite a bit of time washing it. After making offerings, I bought flowers for the home altar in Nakameguro and headed back.
After that I headed to Shibuya for the first time in a while and browsed Tower Records to pick up some new music.
Next month ROOSO and Benjee are both releasing CDs, so I figured I’d spend a little money on CDs.
I bought a CD for the first time in a while! MIDNIGHT BANKROBBERS’ “Winter Pinocchio.”
TRIPPIN' ELEPHANT RECORDS CDs are pretty rare—I’ve only seen ones by Michel and Rosso—and apparently all the lyrics on this one are by Chiba, so
I had to buy it since it probably won’t be available for rental.
Then I wandered around a bookstore and Hands, and headed to Roppongi to grab some udon.
The udon here is delicious! Plus the shop is clean and perfect.
After eating, I headed to a fishing pond in Ichigaya. I didn’t catch anything! Seriously frustrating…
There are salarymen fishing while they’re supposed to be working. Do they really want to fish that badly that they’d skip work?
There are plenty of idiots. They’re throwing bait everywhere—it’s really annoying. With how bad the fishing was, I left pretty quick
and took off. “There’s no fish here!” you say while casting your line—if it were that easy, nobody would struggle!
I caught 4 fish total… One of my crew had a birthday, so my phone kept ringing.
“Where are you?” “I want to eat!”… Well, we all ended up celebrating together.
It got pretty late, and even though I took the day off, I’m exhausted at 12 PM…
