It came back clean and smooth, so we installed it quickly.
I removed the rust from the fender bracket and painted it with spray can. Just adding a little touch like this really helps a motorcycle last longer, doesn’t it?
Installing the Brembo rear disc
It’s got quite a masculine finish, which is great. The one thing that bothers me is the direction of the hole. I kind of wish it was facing the direction of travel…
Installation is complete like this.
I finished the “no overhang detective pure-hearted” modification that I’d left undone before. When you’re working on something, you tend to look at how it’s installed rather than the wheel itself.
We really need to be careful about that every day.
The K Factory clutch release has an O-ring
Sometimes the pushrod gets stuck and won’t come out. Even heating it in the oven didn’t get it out, so I decided not to worry about it.
The clutch release body has a nice anodize coating and doesn’t have a single scratch. When you think about it, doesn’t the O-ring seem to have more stable performance than the cup?
This is an O-ring repair part “000JZBD021Z” It’s convenient to keep the part number like this.
There’s no point in being picky, so I’m uploading them quickly. I don’t want to be told the brake height changed, so I always check the numbers.
There was no leakage from the rear master and it was in good condition.
This rear caliper actually has anodizing, so you can use it with confidence for a long time. That’s Nissin for you—great workmanship!
The bleeder nipple rusts very badly like this, so I replace it with titanium.
After cleaning, it gets dried thoroughly in the oven
We dried it thoroughly like this, then air-blew it, and also applied gun coat to the pushrod. These small, unglamorous steps might be the key to keeping things in good condition for a long time.
Always inspect the oil and dust seals. Even new parts can have human error, so paying attention on the work side really boosts reliability.
Both the caliper and master are domestic products, so we assemble them using CCI metal rubber. It moves so smoothly it’s amazing, so definitely give it a try.
