The damper is excellent—this fan-shaped design really is the way to go.
When inserting the hub, you have to lubricate it really well and slide it in with a firm ‘pop’ or it won’t fit.
Aftermarket wheels have really come this far.
And the sprocket hub is thick and extremely well made.
Now for the rear wheel weight:
Rear wheel (without hub and disk) weighs 8.1 kilos—that can’t be right, way too heavy.
After the swap (without hub and sprocket) weighs 4.9 kilos.
That’s a 3.2 kilo diet.
If I measured the hub in detail, it’d probably be even lighter.
1.5 × 3.2 = 4.7 kilos of weight reduction.
That’s going to make a real difference.
