We’re starting Deco-mainte today.
We removed the lever, cleaned it, and applied lubricant. When moving parts and contact points are clean and smooth, the lever and pin wear less and play is minimized.
There’s still oil residue from the last Deco-mainte service, which is good. We clean the handlebar and apply just a thin layer of engine oil.
It’s a good idea to apply grease (NC100) where the cable rubs against the muffler.
There’s still plenty of oil residue here. Disassembling and lubricating occasionally from the inside is more effective than just external application.
The brake side also has good oil residue remaining.
It feels great when the sidestand moves up and down smoothly.
Clean the pin and the contact surfaces on both the stand and frame sides, then lubricate with grease (NC100) or similar for a very smooth operation.
